How was Swayable Founded?

Swayable was founded in spring 2010, I was at REI on the phone with my husband trying to describe the Thule roof top cargo box and the Yakima roof top cargo box. I found that describing the 2 black cargo boxes is actually surprisingly difficult and snapped a picture of each to send to him.

It dawned on me that this process was quite clunky; I had to take 2 separate photos, send 2 separate mails with the photos. That's when I had my light bulb moment - there has got to be a way to make this easier.

I am often faced with situations such as asking for opinions on gifts for a friend or family member, or if I have the right pair of shoes to go with a particular dress. However, many times the person I want to ask isn't with me. Swayable helps solve your dilemma of getting opinions from your friends and family when they aren't with you.
