Connect once, then ask your assistant about your test results in plain English. You only see your own organization’s tests.
Choose your client
Every client connects with your personal API key.
| Client | How you connect | What you need |
|---|---|---|
| Claude Code | Personal API key | Claude Code installed |
| Codex CLI | Personal API key | Codex CLI installed |
| Gemini CLI | Personal API key | Gemini CLI installed |
| Other MCP clients | Personal API key | Support for remote Streamable HTTP servers and custom request headers |
Need an API key? Ask your Swayable Client Success Manager. Each person gets their own key, delivered securely.
Server URL
MCP server
https://results.swayable.com/mcp
The server uses stateless Streamable HTTP: each request stands alone, with no long-lived session to manage.
Setup by client
Claude Code
Install and sign in to Claude Code using the official quickstart. These commands work in macOS zsh and in Bash on Linux or Windows with WSL.
1. Enter your key. Run this line on its own, paste only your key, and press Enter. Your input stays hidden.
printf 'API key: '; IFS= read -r -s SWAYABLE_API_KEY; printf '\n'
2. Add the connection:
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user swayable-results \
https://results.swayable.com/mcp \
--header "Authorization: Bearer ${SWAYABLE_API_KEY}"
unset SWAYABLE_API_KEY
3. Check it: run claude mcp list and look for swayable-results — Connected. Then run claude and approve the Swayable tools when asked.
Claude Code saves the key in your personal configuration, so keep that file private. If Claude Code was already open during setup, restart it and check /mcp.
Codex CLI
Codex stores the name of an environment variable, not the key itself.
1. Enter your key at a hidden prompt and make it available to Codex in this terminal:
printf 'API key: '; IFS= read -r -s SWAYABLE_API_KEY; printf '\n'; export SWAYABLE_API_KEY
2. Add the connection:
codex mcp add swayable-results --url https://results.swayable.com/mcp \
--bearer-token-env-var SWAYABLE_API_KEY
3. Run codex mcp list to check it, then start codex from the same terminal.
Each new terminal needs SWAYABLE_API_KEY set before you start Codex. Repeat step 1, or load the key from your password manager’s command-line tool.
Gemini CLI
1. Enter your key at a hidden prompt:
printf 'API key: '; IFS= read -r -s SWAYABLE_API_KEY; printf '\n'
2. Add the connection. The --transport http option is required; without it, Gemini CLI ignores the header.
gemini mcp add --scope user --transport http swayable-results \
https://results.swayable.com/mcp \
--header "Authorization: Bearer ${SWAYABLE_API_KEY}"
unset SWAYABLE_API_KEY
3. Run gemini mcp list to check it, then start gemini and run /mcp.
Gemini CLI saves the key in ~/.gemini/settings.json, so keep that file private.
Other MCP clients
Use these settings in any client that supports remote MCP servers with custom headers:
- URL:
https://results.swayable.com/mcp - Transport: Streamable HTTP
- Header:
Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY
Many clients use a JSON configuration like this; field names vary by client:
Example configuration
{
"mcpServers": {
"swayable-results": {
"url": "https://results.swayable.com/mcp",
"headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_API_KEY" }
}
}
}
Try your first question
Example prompt
Use Swayable Results to list my tests and their availability. Ask me which test to explore, then summarize its results by creative, with the metric, value, unit and 95% interval for each finding.
Keep your key safe
- Enter your key only at a hidden prompt or in your client’s settings. Keep it out of emails, chat messages, AI prompts, shared documents and URLs.
- Your API key is separate from your Swayable sign-in, and it’s personal. If a colleague needs access, ask your Client Success Manager for their own key.
- If a key may have been exposed, ask your Client Success Manager to revoke it and issue a replacement.
Replace a key or remove the connection
| Client | Remove the connection |
|---|---|
| Claude Code | claude mcp remove --scope user swayable-results |
| Codex CLI | codex mcp remove swayable-results |
| Gemini CLI | gemini mcp remove --scope user swayable-results |
To switch to a new key, remove the connection and add it again with the new key.
